Aguda Returns
Description:
Aguda Returns is a research-led, multi-layered documentary project exploring history, memory, and diasporic return across multiple geographies. Developed in tandem with an educational curriculum and immersive programme, the project extends its impact beyond the screen, connecting historical research and archival interviews with contemporary lived experiences. Together, these elements form a scalable cultural platform that moves us from past to present and into the future. Travelling across territories, institutions, and audiences to translate heritage into a lasting, participatory experience.
Our role:
Led by Dr. Ekua Agha, Wednesday 66 shaped story development, co-produced with crews in Lagos and Salvador, and negotiated community agreements that keep participating participating elders at the forefront of this compelling story.
Diaspora Memory Lab Immersive Museum and Experience
Description:
Diaspora Memory Lab is a traveling immersive museum and curriculum network that brings Aguda histories into classrooms and cultural spaces across Lagos, Bahia, and London.
Our role:
Sarah Kornfeld and our partnerships team curated a multi-sensory immersive narrative, produced filmed installations with local artists, and built educator toolkits that travel alongside the exhibition.
